Drivers must hold a full license for minimum 1 year with no major endorsements. An International Driver’s License (IDL) is required if the renter’s national driver’s license is not in Roman alphabet (i.e. Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). International driver’s license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver. UK license holders must present both the photo card and its paper counterpart at the time of rental. Someone can rent a car from 23 to 65 Years. Young Drivers from 21 to 22 years there is extra charge 4.50 € per day (maximum 35,00 €). Reservations were driver is less than 23 years old are subjected to confirmation. Young drivers surcharge is not included in the rental price. It is paid in the local currency at the rental desk. Also, there is free of charge for additional driver.
All rentals are subject to the full rental agreement terms and conditions at the time of rental. A credit/debit card imprint will be taken at the start of all rentals for security reasons, even when a voucher covers the cost of the rental. This credit card imprint may be used to pay all extra charges as extra insurance, parking fines, damages or any cost due to the rented car as a result of the renters use of the car.
The minimum rental period at Creta Rental is – 48 hours. When the drop off is one hour or more after the pick-up time, it is regarded as a full day.

When you drop-off:
Make sure to return the car at the time you agreed with our staff. Please approach a delivery agent at Creta Rental.
They will have a quick look at the car and check the fuel status with you.
Please make sure to fill up before returning your car.
Accidents happen though! And in that case, please let the staff at Creta Rental know about it so they can have it fixed before the next rental.
We reserve the right to substitute vehicles when the reserved car types are not available. We cannot always guarantee the brand, but we guarantee a similar car or an upgrade instead.

Child Seats – Special Equipment (Upon Request)
In Greece it is mandatory for young children to travel in safety seats while in a vehicle. Child seats are available if pre-ordered at a reasonable additional charge. These child seats are generally suitable for children aged from 6 months to +4 years of age.
Booster seats: 2,00 € per day
Baby seat: 3,00 € per day
Special Equipment/ Optional extras must be requested at the time of booking, and are included in the rental price.
Cancel more than 48 hours prior to the rental and get a full refund (100%)
In case of no show or cancellation the same day, the full rental price will be charged. Also, no refunds will be given if you fail to collect the vehicle at your specified time or if you fail to meet the driving license, passport, credit card or other documentation requirements outlined in this voucher. There are no worries about delayed flights.
Early returns are always allowed. However, no refunds can be given for unused, or partly used car hire vouchers unless the amendments or cancellations have been made prior to the pick-up date.
Third part liability is equivalent to the amount stipulated by Greek law at each time. This also applies to the amount of individual driver liability. Third party coverage and personal accident insurance is automatically included in your rental and in the self-risk liability amount mentioned here below. If for some reason, the renter causes damages to a third-party vehicle, without causing damages to the rented vehicle, the third-party liability is a total of 35.000 euro.
All our rates include Zero Excess / Zero Liability / Zero Deductible. This includes CDW/SCDW, GP,TP and SAAP (Sand and Ash Protection) insurances is subjected to the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement. Keep in mind that this is not an extra insurance but an option for our renters to waive their liability in case of any damages to the rental car during the rental time. This allows our renters to have a carefree experience with Creta Rental.
This protection includes damage to windscreen, headlights, front bumper, mirrors and the hood of the car when gravel or rocks gets thrown onto the vehicle by another car. The gravel protection (GP) is included in Creta Rental.
TP covers theft of rental vehicle. Included in the rate with Zero Excess.
Damages caused by negligence or driving while intoxicated.
Damages to the underside of the car.
Damages caused by driving into waters, rivers or off-roading.
Damages caused to the clutch or other mechanical damages resulting from the renters negligence or misuse of the car.
Damages caused to the interior of the car.
Charges or other cost for required assistance because of a breakdown or damage that is the driver´s responsibility.
Charges when pumping the wrong fuel on the car.
Charges for losing accessories, such as the car key.
Service charges and handling fee related to the renters use of the car, such as fines for speeding, parking fee and tunnel fee.
General charges for towing, resulting from the renters misuse or mistake such as getting stuck in snow, sand, water or river.
Damages caused to the tires or the wheels of the car are not covered by any insurance. Therefore the renter is fully reliable for such damages.
The renter shall return the car with all accessories (including tires, tools and other items) in the same condition as they were in when received.

This fee does not apply when the damages incurred are not caused by the renter. Creta Rental will charge the renter for fines and charges plus the previously mentioned handling fee. If the car is returned extra dirty there is a cleaning fee of 30,00 €. This is in case of an extremely dirty car, especially on the inside. Not from regular use of the car. Smoking is strictly forbidden in the car. If someone smokes inside the car, the renter will be liable for a cleaning fee and fine of 150,00 €. The retrieval fee for picking up the rental car because of damages or other reasons that can be related to the renters responsibility is 10,00 € per km or a minimum of 100.00 €. In addition, depending on the vehicle, extra charge of 100,00 € – 200,00 €.
